Wasn't exactly what I had planned for my self-portrait, but okay.

This is actually half of the original piece, but the 2nd half was rather rushed and badly done, so I'm not posting it.

Still, I'm quite proud on the 3d aspect of this, it's pretty much my first attempt at creating a full 3d setting. I nearly gave up halfway, because of the difficulties experienced when tweaking the lighting and stuff. The end result was pretty screwed up despite having spent hours trying to perfect the lighting and colours, so in the end I desaturated the whole damn thing and retouched it in Photoshop.

This is amazing, sir. The lighting, the colors, the structures. I love it.


If that's 3DS, where'd you learn to do that lighting? I was faced with a similar dilemma, trying to properly light the inside of my idea of a giant processor, within 3DS itself. This, looks frighteningly similar to the idea I had. Not so sure if I'm going to go that route now, lol. GET OUT OF MY HEAD =P
